On behalf of our client, a large international company active in the logging industry, we are recruiting a Head of Human Resources.
The Head of Human Resources will have a wide range of responsibilities, such as management of the employee life-cycle, talent development and administration. The Head of Human Resources will also ensure the constant "maintenance" of the tools at disposal, along with their development. This is a unique position, as it is half-time in Switzerland, and the other half takes place in the Republic of Congo, in an isolated location.

The main responsibilities of this position are as follows:

- Recruitment of professionals, primarily in the Republic of Congo, in cooperation with superiors (incl. development of a network of potential candidates in Africa)
- Staff and management development as well as talent management, primarily in the Republic of Congo (also in cooperation with external service providers)
- Development, implementation and maintenance of relevant HR tools (e.g. IBOs, incentive plans, performance reviews, performance evaluation systems)
- Guidance and support of staff at the above sites (incl. matters of advancement)
- Responsibility for the entire payroll administration, including statements and accounting of social insurance and personnel insurance.
- Guidance 1 employee in Europe, 1 person in the Republic of Congo
- Sparring partner of senior management in all HR concerns, such as recruiting, separation, leadership, remuneration, retention, evaluation, development, succession planning and retirement
- Responsibility for correct internal HR administration (contracts, references, agreements, confirmations, organizational charts, insurance and charges)
- Enhancement and implementation of HR processes
- Travel (approx. 40%)

Profil recherché

For this position, we require someone with the following assets:

- Bachelor/Master in HR management, business administration or similar
- At least 5 years experience in a similar position
- Substantiated experience in each operational field: recruiting, development and worked on-site in Africa (central is an advantage)
- Experience in an international work environment
- Self-confidence in project management and organizational talent
- Self-assertive, persistent, strong communication skills
- Completely fluent in French, business fluent in English
- Hands-on mentality and team player
- Structured and self-reliant work methods
- Ability to lead and motivate others, build confidence
- Loyal, able to cope with pressure, reliable
