We are recruiting for one of our client specialized in the electromechanical sector and based in Geneva a "Sales Area Manager"
The candidate will related to the head of sales and has the responsibility of the sales activities (technical and commercial) for the South America and Southeast Asia markets, with possible extension to other territories. The scope of products is related to a range of industrial applications like drives, renewable energies, rail and smart grid. The incumbent will deploy local sales strategies with the objective to continuously grow the business, increase market share and conquer new market segments. This requires, among other activities, proactive introduction of new products and approaching new prospects.The position is also in charge of the local distributor network.
Your main tasks :
- Develop and implement efficient sales strategies to reach sales targets for the assigned territory - Provide technical and application-oriented advice to customers. Be the interface between the customers and the technical support department - Prepare quotations and follow-up, including negotiation and contract review - Deploy appropriate sales and marketing activities with distributors - Identify and follow-up new markets/applications and potential customers - Provide realistic product forecast to ensure on time deliveries - Actively contribute to budget planning and strategic business plan - Report on a regular basis on the sales activities, including new opportunities and competitive landscape
Your profile :
- Degree in Electrical Engineering - 5+ years successful international sales and/or business development experience within a company in the electrical components and equipment industry - Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships in an international environment - Proven experience managing a distributor network - Structured, result and solution oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines - Self-starter and team player with excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate, negotiate and influence credibly at all levels of the organization - Open minded, with the ability to work efficiently in a multicultural, multifunctional environment. - Willingness to travel overseas up to 30% of the time - Fluent in English and French. Portuguese an asset
